Name: [Nathan]
Interests: Currently, I am a junior attending Eastern Nazarene College with a major in Religion. I have so many interests. Among these are: guitar, art, acting, singing, theology, philosophy, and more.
Here is a piece of scripture that's been on my mind this past year. In a way, it sums up what I strive for; my greatest passion(interest) in life.
"Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way; in great endurance; in troubles , hardships and distresses; in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger; in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left; through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as imposters; known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed."

| I must admit... I am not good at keeping an online journal. I tried, quite successfully may I add, at first to be on top of things, but that failed after about a year of having it. I've thought about shutting it down but I figured why not keep it up for sentimental value. Every once in awhile I'll just write something boring about my life and might get as many as two comments. What a good plan! The flow of the semester is starting to kick in, which is aways nice. I only have four classes this semester so academically this semester is easy. On top of classes, I'm trying to get as much work as I can, since I'm graduating this year and will be needing money to move. I can't wait to get out of the dorms. The idea of an apartment is sounding really good to me. I'm a life group facilitator again this year. We had our first "meeting" tonight, which was actually an ice cream social where all the other life groups were present. Only four out of the ten showed up in my group, but I think it's going to be a good group of guys. I decided to do Rob Bell's Velvet Elvis for this year's life group, which is a very good book (for popular Christian writing), and I highly recommend reading it at some point in your life. That's about it for my life right now. I can't promise anything about writing more on this thing, but I'll try. Later. | | |
| It's been a long time. I became one of those bloggers, who start a blog and never update, and if they do, it's like a year later.
Many things have happened since last, but I think I'll just stick to what's going on in the present.
Currently, I'm traveling with Summer Ministries for my school. Tonight, we're in Auburn, NY. Next week we'll be in Brooktondale, NY. The summer has been great for the most part. I have a really good team that is traveling around with me. There's five of us all together. Like I said, it's been a really good experience. To be perfectly honest, I don't have much that I want to say. Life is alright for the moment. I hope all is well with everyone out there.
Later. | | |

| So, ENC decided they were going to block xanga for awhile, well, just a two days. The reason why they decided to block it was for "social reasons." This doesn't really make any sense to me. I can see it being blocked for other reasons, but not "social reasons." What does that even mean? Is xanga causing upheavals in the social aspects of the ENC community? I did see a fight break once over xanga, and in fact, there have been multiple riots started over blogging. Clearly, this is not really going down, so why the blocking in the place. It seems to me, that the school realized quickly that xanga was not much of a "social" threat.
Look out ENC, xanga will get you when you are least expecting it!
| It is just a few days into the spring semester and I can already predict how difficult it will be. It will be amazing and challenging all at the same time. I already know that I'm going to love my classes this semester. By far, they are the hardest to this point, but by far they are also the most interesting. Theology is going to be downright awesome. Even though I feel kind of bad stealing Genevieve's Bib. Lit. class, I'm really looking forward to S.I.ing that. I love you, Genevieve. I promise that I'll take good care of your baby.
J-Term break was really good. I went with Genevieve to her house in Long Island, NY. Good food and good company.
This semester is a new beginning is a way. I'm excited about it; I'm excited to see what God will do.
